STUDENT

I am enrolled at Milpark Education to study B.Com Financial Planning and aim to obtain my degree by 2022. I passed the first year modules with an average of 70% including 2 distinctions. I also wish to apply for FSA™ (Financial Service Advisor™) certification from the Financial Planning Institute (FPI). After the completion of the undergraduate degree, I will register for the Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning and hope to complete the FPI Professional Competency Exam to be a Certified Financial Planner®. My goal is ultimately to consultant clients on a much more strategic level with regards to employee benefits. Currently, I have a Regulatory Exam 5 Representatives and  finished several short courses from the following:

EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SPECIALIST

As an employee benefits specialist, my goals include empowering staff to make the right choices in optimizing their retirement and fringe benefits. 

My passion for employee benefits can be traced back to when I was employed at one of the biggest universities in South Africa. Whilst employed there I  took the initiative to empower staff by delivering presentations on what the employer provided in terms of employee benefits. I also developed brochures to further increase the knowledge of his colleagues on how to utilise their benefits effectively.

Until recently I gained valuable corporate experience whilst employed at one of the biggest financial institutions in South Africa as an employee benefits specialist with the focus on medical aid care.

I am the founder of Work Accident Support (Pty) Ltd which was established to assist and advise companies to overcome the bureaucracy in administering COID related matters. Putting to the test my 20-year extensive experience and knowledge about injuries on duty matters, Work Accident  Support will identify the bottlenecks that prevent businesses from administering COID related matters and help them bridge this gap.

The key expertise areas are as follows:
  • Employer account management with regards to the registration of new companies with the Compensation Fund and ensuring that companies will be paying the correct annual account.
  • Employer injury on duty claims management to administer work-related accidents. Collect outstanding monies the companies paid to injured employees while they were booked off duty.
  • Education and training of companies and their employees to educate them about the administration of injuries on duty.
